Space Brothers and Contactees FAQ Version
For many people , contact with alien cultures isn't just a dream, it's a reality. These people are
known as contactees, and the beings they deal with are called Space Brothers.
Q. What is a space brother?
A. A space brother is a term coined by early contactees to describe the very friendly, very
attractive type of alien they would have contact with. Space brothers usually promote an agenda
of peace, love, and harmony, and warn of dire consequences of the evils of mankind, like
pollution, nuclear energy and weapons, and general hatred. Some think the name may have been
derived from a Theosophy term.
Q. What is a contactee?
A. A contactee is a person who has regular contact and communication with alien or unknown
beings. While some claims of contactees seem outlandish, like taking trips to other planets like
Venus, or being married to an alien husband, others are more reasonable and should not be
dismissed offhand even by hard line skeptics. Contactees like this that see and touch the beings
first hand are often called physical contactees.
Related to this, are what is known as psychic contactees. They don't see the beings, but they
receive telepathic messages from them, or messages through automatic writing.
There is also a different type of contactee, one I call an abduction contactee. These contactees
experience abduction by these aliens/beings, often against their will. Abduction contactees are
often more credible than normal contactees.
Q. Who was the first Contactee?
A. That distinction goes to George Adamski, a hot dog vendor on Mt. Palomar. In 1952,
Adamski claimed he saw a flying saucer land, and a jumpsuit wearing man of average height, and
with long blond hair got out and communicated with him. Using sign language, this man claimed to
come from Venus. Later, Adamski would be meet people claming to be from other planets in our
solar system.
Q. I've heard that someone else was the first contactee.
A. Well, there was a man named Daniel Fry, who claimed he was first contacted in 1950.
However, he first mentioned it in a book in 1954, as compared to Adamski's 1953 book. So, the
distinction goes to Adamski.
Q. So what were this Daniel Fry's aliens like?
A. Fry's alien friend was called A-lan, and was also human like. Instead of using sign language,
like Adamski's, A-lan was fully versed in English, including the use of U. S. slang.
Q. I've heard the phrase, "The three Georges". Who are they?
A. That phrase if often used to describe George Adamski, George Van Tassel, and George Hunt
Williamson
Q. Okay, okay, enough of these old time contactees, who are some of the newer ones?
A. Well, probably the most widely known modern contactee is Eduard "Billy" Meier. A swiss
famer and cult leader, he has produced many photographs of what he calls "beamships" and their
occupants. On some occasions, these occupants have turned out to be photographs of female
models from magazines, but often his photos of the "beamships" are impressive looking. Others
often look like toy models. This has led to speculation that some of the his photos are genuine,
while others are faked.
There are also many other contactees throughout the world, some sincere, some not. A look in
the UFO section of the local new age bookstore can provide many interesting examples. The
aliens of modern contactees often claim to be from the Pleides star cluster, Zeta Reticuli, Sirius,
etc;
Q. Who would be an example of an abduction contactee?
A. Two popular examples are Betty Andreasson, whose experiences were chronicled in The
Watchers, and the Watchers II by Raymond Fowler, and author Whitley Strieber, whose
occurances are told in Communion, Transforumation, and Breakthrough.
Q. Most of these aliens seem to look like humans. Are all contactee aliens human looking?
A. For the most part, yes, although some contactees have dealings with the traditional alien as
seen on the cover of Whitley Strieber's book, Communion, or with Reptilian type creatures.
Traditional contactees seem to deal with Human like aliens, while abduction contactees deal with
more alien type being.
